OPRAH ON 30 ROCK!

Oprah Winfrey is currently in final talks to guest star on NBC’s 30 Rock this fall, and has already been written into the script for the second episode!

Lady O is slated to appear in 30 Rock’s second episode, which is tentatively set to air Nov. 6. According to reliable insiders, the initial plan is that she will be playing herself, with all of her scenes opposite Tina Fey’s character Liz Lemon, and that her story would also play into a feud between Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan) and Jenna Maroney (Jane Krakowski) that will continue through several episodes. The 23rd season of the The Oprah Winfrey Show kicks off on Mon., Sept. 8.

Actress/comedian Roseanne Barr has made some wild accusations in her latest blog about talk show host Oprah Winfrey and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. Here’s a summary of what she said (with spelling and grammar fixed):

– Barack is an empty suit selling “hope” in lieu of Truth
– Oprah helped to elect Arnold Schwarzenegger. I have no doubt that she voted her purse by doing this, as she is a large land owner in California, and that ilk fears Dems because they do not want to pay their “fair share” of Cali tax.
– Oprah has given us Dr. Phil. If that was not offensive enough to decent thinking people, now she brings us Obama. He has no ideas, no plan and nothing to add other than the cynical pacification of the masses with bedtime stories about hope.

Designer Nate Berkus has been tapped to host Oprah Winfrey’s philanthropy-themed reality show “Oprah’s Big Give,” while Chris Rock’s wife Malaak Compton-Rock, NFL star Tony Gonzalez and celebrity chef Jamie Oliver will serve on the show’s judging panel, ABC has announced.

Phil Spector, who allegedly killed his jumpoff Lana Clarkson, had some things to say about Oprah Winfrey, Tina Turner, Whoopi Goldberg, and ‘black women’ in general for villiainizing Ike Turner at his funeral the other day. So let me get this right, alleged murderer Phil Spector defends alleged wife beater Ike Turner! Classic!

“And sell-out, whom you really love and respect but I have an ambivalence towards Oprah Winfrey. She made Tina Turner’s book into a bestseller, which demonized and vilified Ike. The book wouldn’t have sold 10 books. It was badly written. It was a piece of trash and because Oprah idolized Tina, she didn’t feel it wrong to vilify a ‘brother.’”
