JANET JACKED!
PageSix.com is reporting that Oprah Winfrey has taken control of the long-gestating Lena Horne biopic and has cast Alicia Keys in the title role.
“We’re going to start filming next year, and we’ve got Alicia,” Oprah reportedly told the New York Post column during an interview for her film “The Great Debaters.”
The announcement comes as a final blow for Janet Jackson, who for years has expressed interest in playing the legendary entertainer on screen, and was actually in serious consideration when the project was set up as a TV movie at ABC until ‘nipplegate’ a few years ago, and Lena and daughter jumped on the media bandwagon, asked Janet to be booted off the project. Where’s the unity?!

Janet is too damn old now!!! She waited too long the role needs to go to a young actress. How about that young girl in The Great Debaters, June something, I think her name is.

i love ms keys i think she would do a wonderful job and i agree with massy janet is too old.and she not light enough.and dont need to see boos.

Janet cannot act. Her best performance was in 1972 or whenever she was Penny.

Well this has been talked about long ago. I don’t know why it’s just coming to the surface now. After the Super Bowl incident it was said that Lena Horne didn’t want to be portrayed by Janet after that fiasco and Lena’s daughter asked Janet if she would step down. Being a gracious woman who has the utmost respect for Lena, Janet obliged. Commend Janet.
