RIP : BERNIE MAC
Comedian Bernie Mac died this morning in Chicago after a long hospitalization from pneumonia. Damn!
TMZ reports:
Mac, whose real name is Bernard McCullough, passed away early this morning at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. He was 50 years old.
His rep just issued the following statement to TMZ: “Actor/ comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital. No other details are available at this time. We ask that his family’s privacy continues to be respected.”
Just a few days ago, Mac’s condition was characterized as “stable”; Bernie had been in the hospital for a week.

I can’t belive it………Bernie Mac is one of my favorite comedians and I just love him in The Players Club. He will be Greatly Missed. My Prayers go out to his family!!!! Love U, Uncle Bernie!!!!

It is so very sad that Bernie passed on… a young man who was still attempting to branch out into new avenues professionally… he will be deeply missed….
He added a lot to the comedy circuit and many comics who came after him were imitators…
I do hope that he is resting with God…

Why would you assume that The Mac Man had HIV? Let’s put a stop to negative gossip when you don’t know what you’re talking about. Get the facts first before putting negative comments out like that!!! It hurts enough that we have to lose another Black Man, and especially a talented, funny, and fine human being.

Many people die of HIV and its not neccesarily a bad thing, it’s part of the world we live in. I’m not saying he did anything wrong, but dying of pnemonia is not that common, but it is common in people with HIV.
Black community needs to stop putting a stigma on the disease and realize many good people in our community have the disease. Come on, majic Johnson is the only black celebrity ever to get it! Please! People lie and cover it up.

Bernie died of aids, face it. A bigger man would have admited it and perhaps publicised the dangers and risks out there.

Who do you people think you are? Bernie Mac was a great man who loved his family. We are privileged to have laughed with him! It is the business of his family and loved ones to know his exact cause of death. IF he died from hiv etc., so what? Does that change anything at all? God bless you Bernie Mac! Rest in peace and thank you for making me laugh!
